LOGGING ON AS A RADIO CLUB MEMBER

When logging on you will be asked for:-
RADIO CLUB PM Number (PM.....)
No of People On Board (POB)
Destination (DEST)
Estimated Time of Return (ETR)
You will be asked to standby while we open the Seahawk Tracking System to check the last 3 digits of your Vessel Rego No and on Board Mobile.
You will automatically be SKEDDED at 0900, 1200, 1500, 1800 unless you request not to be.

An alternative is to Logon with the free Marine Rescue App which will mean that you do not have to talk to anyone. We acknowledge your Logon and Logoff.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU LOG OFF

When you join the Port Macquarie RADIO CLUB, which costs a nominal yearly donation you will be put onto the MRNSW SEAHAWK Tracking system.
This allows you to launch and logon anywhere in NSW and ensures that MRNSW will have all your details.
You will automatically be SKEDDED unless you request otherwise.
In the unlikely event that something should happen there is only 3 hrs between SKED calls.
If we do not hear anything from you at the nominated SKED time we will activate a search and rescue operation.
The same applies if you are transiting up the coast you can request SKEDS from different Marine Rescue Bases up and down the coast.

WHEN you are logged on to the Seahawk Tracking System we monitor you for the duration of your trip.
The estimated Time Of Return (ETR) that you supplied is the time that Seahawk recognises that you should be back safely.
When you go over the ETR without contact your Seahawk entry turns orange, to highlight that you are overdue.
We allow ten minutes before we try to contact you to clarify the situation.
If we are not able to contact you on the 30 minute mark, The Seahawk entry turns red and we are required to contact our Regional Operations Manager (ROM) to explain the situation.
He will assess the situation and instruct the relevant rescue base to commence a search and rescue operation.
At the same time we notify MACSAR In Sydney as they have seen the entry turn red and are required to be notified of the situation.

THE MESSAGE HERE IS PLEASE STAY IN CONTACT AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU LOG OFF

We would appreciate you filling in ALL the requested information on the registration form and supplying a photo of your vessel as this helps our rescue team to identify you on the water. The free Marine Rescue NSW App will automate the process of logging on and logging off.
Ensure that you have supplied all the relevant information into the free Marine Rescue NSW App.

MOST IMPORTANTLY PLEASE REMEMBER TO LOG OFF

If you need any information setting up your radio or app we are here to help you.
